Tim Berg, PGA Golf Professional

Tim started his golf career in 1964 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon. During the past 40 years, he has played the PGA Tour, been the Golf Manager for the City of Portland, Oregon Golf Courses, Pebble Beach Golf Company Courses, Sunriver Resort Golf Courses, Blue Rock Springs Golf Course in Vallejo, CA, Director of Instruction at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, General Manager at The Lincoln Hills Club and twelve years as Director of Instruction at Cherry Island Golf Course. Along the way he has had many accomplishments:

  • Selected to the Pacific Northwest PGA Hall of Fame
  • 1988 Pacific Northwest Senior Player of the Year
  • Two-time Pacific Northwest Open Champion
  • Two-time Pacific Northwest Senior Open Champion
  • Competed in 4 National Senior PGA Championships
  • Competed in the 1988 US Senior Open, Medinah Country Club (Illinois)
  • Taught several tour players including, Peter Jacobson and John Fought (1977 U.S. Amateur Champion & 1979 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year)
  • Taught 1972 U.S. Public Links Champion, Bob Allard
  • Taught five State of Oregon Amateur Champions
  • Taught eight National PGA Player Workshops & two LPGA West Coast Teachers Workshops
  • Taught five Pacific Northwest PGA Player Workshops
  • Taught two Oregon High School State Champions
  • Developed the City of Portland, Oregon Physical Education Golf Classes
  • Started the first City of Portland, Oregon Junior Teaching Program
  • Multiple students annually earn college golf scholarships through his coaching

Tim believes in combining fun with the basic fundamentals to help the student enjoy the game of golf. He is dedicated to help the student take the game of golf to whatever level they want to play. He will always strive to instill in the student his passion and love of the game and will make it a life long relationship to share the esthetic beauty of the game and its environment.
